instructional design resources

An archive of websites I use to develop computer based training. Most of the websites are FREE for but limited. Additionally I’ve added videos I find helpful in development.

Websites

  • Tinywow

FREE development tools including PDF, imagery, video, AI, and file tools. Highly recommend.

  • Go design something

A website great for new IDs who are looking for a challenge. Just press the button and you will be given a project to go design.

  • We transfer

FREE large file transfers. For all the times you have a large file you need to send to a client but it is too big. This has been a lifesaver.

  • Removebg

Super helpful to be able to take the white background out of your images. Makes your products look more professional and it is FREE.

  • Water Mark Remover

Shhhhh! This will remove watermarks from images for FREE. I’m not gonna ask why they are there. Your welcome.

  • Wepik

FREE Power Point designs for slides. Designs for posters, brochures, social media banners, certificates, resumes, etc.

  • Uberduck

FREE text to voice and voice to voice. Lots of different voices. Very creative but you get what you pay for.

  • Z type

I love gamification. This is a fun way to increase your typing skills. Warning, may not be appropriate for work.

  • Prepostseo

One of the top FREE tool sites for students, writers and SEO experts.

  • Suno

When developing instructional design content the background music can make the difference. This site allows you to generate FREE music using AI.

Devlin Peck is an incredible ID, and really helped smooth my transition into this field. Highly recommend his Youtube channel.
